One of the most popular
units in our neurotherapy inventory of devices is the
Roshi. Developer Chuck Davis calls the Roshi a tool to
shift consciousness and quiet the mind in a way that is
similar to that seen in mediation. Many people remark
after using the Roshi that they feel unusually quiet and
clear headed. The unique stimulation system allows for
relative long periods of stimulation using either
visible light or magnetic pulsations. The Roshi
stimulation can also be combined with EEG biofeedback
either using it's own software or in tandem with other
software packages.
Several practitioners
have developed very effective protocols for using the
Roshi with different conditions. The following summary
by D. Corydon Hammond Ph.D. describes the response of
clients to treatment with the Roshi as follows:
"The very first Roshi
session produced positive changes, and within five
sessions the patient reported feeling less depressed and
more energetic. At the conclusion of thirty training
sessions, objective testing documented dramatic
reductions in depression, somatic symptoms,
overemotionality, anxiety, rumination, and fatigue that
describes the use of the Roshi with depression." Journal
of Neurotherapy Volume 4, 2000-2001
